Chalet Pelerin

Le Miroir, France

Set amid the rugged charm of the French Alps, this reimagined 1970s chalet blends comfort with thoughtful design. Oversized plate glass windows were replaced by classic divided light frames, a nod to traditional Savoyard architecture, while reclaimed beams and aged wood floors add rustic warmth and character. At its heart, a double-sided fireplace anchors the lounge, where a massive sofa beckons guests for après. Carefully curated flea market treasures, like a gallery wall of vintage mountain paintings and an antique carved wood chandelier adorned with skiers, bring personality to the central stair hall. In the dining room, a fruitwood farmhouse table with a built-in banquette completes the inviting alpine aesthetic, balancing warmth and refinement in every detail.
